PEDIATRICIAN NEAR JOHNS CREEK, GA
Pediatrician Near Johns Creek, GA
Closer Than You Think for Families on the Alpharetta Side of Johns Creek
If you live on the western side of Johns Creek, near the Alpharetta line, our office may be closer than the pediatrician you’re driving to now. The World of Pediatrics sits at 3255 North Point Parkway, near State Bridge Road. For most families in 30022 and 30097 on this side of town, getting here is a straight trip across on surface roads, with no GA 400 required.
We’ve cared for north Fulton children since 1989. We’re a small, mother-daughter practice now caring for four generations of families, and we work to keep your child with the same provider for well visits, physicals and chronic care.
Newborn Care and Your Baby’s First Year
Choosing a pediatrician is one of the first decisions new parents make, and it’s easier to make before the baby arrives. Before your due date, look over our practice, check that your insurance is on our list of accepted plans and save our number. Once your baby is discharged, call us, and we’ll see your newborn within 24 to 48 business hours. New patient forms are electronic, so you can finish them before the first visit. Many Johns Creek families deliver at Emory Johns Creek Hospital or at Northside Hospital, which delivers more babies than any other hospital system in metro Atlanta. Wherever your baby is born, the first visit with us works the same way.
What the First Visit Covers
- A full newborn exam and a weight check against birth weight
- Jaundice evaluation and a follow-up plan
- Feeding support for breastfed, formula-fed and combination-fed babies
- Umbilical cord care
- Newborn screening follow-up
- Safe-sleep guidance and when to call us
Your Baby’s First-Year Visit Schedule
After the first visit, we follow the American Academy of Pediatrics well-visit schedule. We may add weight checks in the first weeks when a baby needs closer tracking.
| Visit | What we focus on |
|---|---|
| First visit (24–48 business hours after discharge) | Weight, feeding, jaundice, umbilical cord care |
| 1 month | Growth, feeding, sleep, parent questions |
| 2, 4 and 6 months | Growth, development and scheduled vaccines |
| 9 months | Developmental screening, starting solids, mobility and safety |
| 12 months | First-birthday checkup, milestones and vaccines |
Our Sick and Well Sides Are Completely Separate
At many pediatric offices, “separate” means a different set of chairs in the same waiting room, and every child is then seen in the same exam rooms. Our office has two sides: a sick side and a well side, each with its own waiting room and its own exam rooms. When you bring a newborn in for a weight check, you’re never in a room a coughing patient just left.

Pediatric Care for Every Age
| Service | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Well-child visits | Growth and development checkups on the AAP schedule through adolescence |
| Immunizations | The CDC and AAP vaccine schedule, given on time. Mandated vaccinations are required for all patients, which protects babies too young to be fully vaccinated. |
| Same-day sick visits | Fevers, coughs, ear pain and more, seen with the first available provider on our sick side |
| School and sports physicals | Georgia Form 3231 immunization certificates and Form 3300 hearing, vision, dental and nutrition screenings for Fulton County Schools. Forms are completed when your child is cleared; if the screening turns up something like chest pain during exercise, a follow-up visit or specialist clearance may be needed first. |
| Chronic care | Ongoing plans for conditions like asthma and ADHD, with the same provider whenever possible and coordination with specialists |
| Mental and behavioral health | Support for your child’s emotional well-being as part of primary care |
| WOPCare membership | A membership option for families without insurance. It’s an alternative to paying for each visit and is usually more cost-efficient. It covers regular care with our providers and doesn’t add services or access beyond that. |
How The World of Pediatrics Compares
| Feature | The World of Pediatrics | Average Clinic | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Location for west Johns Creek | Near State Bridge Road, reachable on surface roads | Many practices mean a GA 400 or long cross-county drive | Easy trips matter in the first weeks, when you may be in for more than one weight check |
| First newborn visit | Within 24 to 48 business hours of discharge | Timing varies with the next available opening | Jaundice and feeding issues are easier to address early |
| Sick and well separation | Separate waiting rooms and separate exam rooms | Separate waiting area at most; shared exam rooms | Well visits never share space with contagious patients |
| Provider continuity | We work to keep well visits, physicals and chronic care with the same provider | High-volume clinics fill open slots with whoever is available | A provider who knows your child’s history notices what’s changed |
| Hospital affiliations | Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Northside Hospital Atlanta | Varies by practice | Established connections if your child needs specialty or hospital care |
| Insurance | In-network with most insurance plans | Narrower panels vary by office | Changing jobs or plans usually doesn’t mean changing pediatricians |
Insurance
We’re in-network with most insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, Anthem, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Aetna, Oscar and Ambetter. Some plan types within these carriers are excluded. See the full list on our insurance page.
What Parents Say
“We’ve been brining our 3 children to Dr. Vayman for the last 9 years and can’t say enough about how wonderful they are at the World of Pediatrics! The office is always clean and the staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Dr. Vayman treats her patients like family and always makes time to thoroughly diagnose and listen to concerns. We have also always been able to make same day sick visits which has been incredible!”

A Note from Dr. Rosalie Vayman
A lot of our Johns Creek families found us the same way: they realized the pediatrician down the road in Alpharetta was closer than the one they’d been driving to. My mother, Dr. Lyudmila Vayman, started this practice in 1989, and I’ve been part of it since 2018, after medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and residency in Savannah.
For new parents, I want the first weeks to feel manageable. We see newborns within 24 to 48 business hours of discharge, I spend a lot of time with parents on feeding, and our sick and well patients never share a waiting room or an exam room. After that first year, we’re here for the school physicals, the sick days and everything in between.

| I’m a first-time parent and feel overwhelmed. You’re welcome to call the office with questions before your due date. |
